COMFORT Toddlers Study

Does Your Toddler Have a Peanut Allergy? Consider the COMFORT Toddlers Study for Your Child

COMFORT Toddlers StudyPeanut allergy is one of the most common food allergies in children. There are limited treatment options for peanut allergies in toddlers, and unfortunately, most children do not outgrow their allergy. Although avoiding peanuts and using an epinephrine device in case of an accidental exposure are helpful, toddlers are still at risk of having a dangerous reaction. This is why we are asking you to consider the COMFORT Toddlers Study of a skin patch for toddlers who have a peanut allergy.

To take part in this study, your child must:

  • Be between 1 and 3 years old
  • Have, or likely have, a peanut allergy (based on an evaluation from their doctor)
  • Be on a strict peanut-free diet
  • Have access to emergency medications (including epinephrine device) and a current food allergy emergency action plan

There are other requirements to see if your toddler may be eligible to take part in the study. The study team will go over these with you to see if your child qualifies.
