Overview
Pediatric Behavioral Health & Wellness provides outpatient behavioral health services for LGBTQ+ youth and their families in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
During childhood and adolescence, young people face many developmental changes, including those related to sexual orientation and gender identity. The program supports youth who are exploring these aspects of identity, considering coming out to family or friends, or experiencing challenges related to relationships or mental health.
Clinicians have specialized training in working with LGBTQ+ youth and collaborate with families to provide supportive, affirming care.

Our Approach
Care begins with a diagnostic assessment to understand each youth’s strengths, concerns, and treatment needs.
Based on that evaluation, clinicians work with youth and caregivers to create an individualized treatment plan that may include:
- Individual, family, or group therapy
- Parent consultation
- School consultation
- Psychiatric services
Treatment plans are tailored to specific goals and progress is reviewed regularly with youth and caregivers. Clinicians also coordinate care with the youth’s primary care provider and broader support team when appropriate.
The program emphasizes creating a safe, inclusive space where youth and families can receive support and develop skills for long-term well-being.
