IBCLC Care Award Press Release
- We believe in a goals-oriented approach: Because many barriers prevent families from exclusively breastfeeding, we seek to help families achieve their own infant and child feeding goals – whether for exclusivity, duration or the use of infant formula.
- We believe in supporting every family who is in the process of feeding human milk: Families come in all shapes, sizes, ethnicities, gender-identities and physiologies. We have unique expertise in understanding the different opportunities and challenges that face the diverse families we see today.
- We believe in access: Our goal is to ensure that every human milk feeding family in Rochester can access our services in a timely and affordable manner. This means that in every organizational strategy we will consider diversity, equity, geography and history.
- We believe in "Meliora": Meliora is "ever better," and for us that means striving towards knowing as much as we can about human milk and lactation, and engaging in trainings, research, and collaborations to create new information and novel approaches that can lead clinical decisions.
