Velopharyngeal Insufficiency Team

At Golisano Children’s Hospital, we are proud to offer the region’s most comprehensive evaluation team for the management of children with velopharyngeal insufficiency; a throat disorder that affects a child’s speech. Our goal is to provide child-focused care in the treatment of this condition, from initial consultation, to surgery, to long term follow-up. All children, regardless of medical complexity, benefit from a full evaluation by a team of providers to determine a customized approach to the management of each patient.
