For three decades, hundreds of children's hospital advocates have gathered to celebrate the wonderful work being done for our region's children, and to show their continuous support of advancing patient care into the future. Join Team Golisano, honorary chairs, Jenni Ralph and Mike Catalana, along with pediatrician-in-chief, Dr. Patrick Brophy, as we celebrate pediatric health advances while enjoying inspiring stories and entertainment. About Golisano Children's Hospital With generous support from the community, the new Golisano Children’s Hospital opened in 2015. It is designed to support patients and their families, with spaces for gathering, playing and finding respite. The new $145-million building, attached to Strong Memorial Hospital at URMC, is currently eight stories high with approximately 245,000 sq. ft of space that includes private rooms, a two-story Playdeck, a Ronald McDonald Family Lounge, a Family Resource Library, a Sibling Clubhouse and more. Our hospital is a referral center for upstate New York, surrounding states and Canada. Golisano Children’s Hospital is a Nationally Ranked Hospital in 2 Children's Specialties by U.S.News & World Report for 2019-20—Neonatology and Pediatric Nephrology. The Neonatology Medical Services, includes a 68 bed, Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Neonatal Transport Team. All aspects of clinical care, including ECMO, iNO, all needed subspecialists, pediatric surgeons (general, CT, urologic, ENT, etc.) are available on site.
