“My wife, who is a physician, once said to me, ‘please explain to me how I will someday use what you are researching,’” Auerbach said. “I often return to this question when writing grants and designing research studies."
The Translational Science Scholar Award Program is supporting two new, innovative translational science projects: an automated diagnostic system for rapidly evaluating palpable breast lumps and a digital storytelling intervention for cancer patients and their caregivers to better equip them to make healthcare decisions.
