Cutting edge MRI systems:

  • Siemens MAGNETOM Prisma 3T whole-body scanner for human studies.
  • Bruker 9.4T small bore animal scanner with PET insert for small animal imaging (coming spring 2023).

Our technical staff is available for consultation on all aspects of MRI research design, implementation, and analysis. This includes optimal protocol designs, pulse sequence programming, coil design and construction, design, operation of stimulus presentation and behavioral recording equipment, data processing and analysis, and IT support.

We provide high-performance computing facilities to support MRI data storage and analysis. A disk system located at the University data center that backs up to another off-site data center is also available to users. The UR CABIN computer network is kept secure through a variety of means including a perimeter and department firewalls.

A number of assessment rooms are available for behavioral and cognitive testing.
