MRI Safety

MRI safety training

• Contact UR CABIN to schedule MRI safety training. Training sessions are offered once a month.
• The CABIN MRI technologist will provide you with training materials to review ahead of your scheduled training date.
• Your scheduled safety training session will be led by our MRI technologist. The material will be briefly reviewed, any questions you may have will be answered, and you will then take an MRI safety quiz.
• You will be notified of your quiz results by email. If you pass, you will receive an email confirming that you passed and instructing you to pick up your MRI safety badge, which attests to your successful completion of the training. You will also be able to sign up for the CABIN scheduling system (PPMS).

**Important Training Requirement: You must scan or assist with a scan within two months of completing your MRI safety training. If you do not scan or assist with a scan within this two-month period, you will be required to repeat the MRI safety training.

MRI safety refresher

Annual refresher required every July 1^st. Once complete email UR CABIN for current MRI safety badge sticker. Any group out of compliance will be subject to scan time being canceled and charged in full.
