A New Office
We have moved to a new location at 45 Liberty Street in downtown Batavia. Enjoy a comfortable experience with expanded waiting areas and check-in, free wi-fi, more (many newly furnished) exam rooms, and ample parking. Our goal is to provide you with a pleasant environment and reduce your time commitment with us.
Expanded Services
Whenever you need it, you will have access to the largest, most-respected team of eye specialists in the region. Several have been selected to Best Doctors in America. Some of them will even be coming to your favorite location so that you won't have to travel to another office to receive care.
Personalized Medicine
Our state-of-the-art electronic medical record helps our doctors track your overall health and make pinpoint care decisions when it comes to your vision. If you see other doctors that are part of the UR Medicine network, we may be able to reduce the need for redundant testing in some cases. If you are new to UR Medicine, you can enroll in and use MyChart. This easy-to-use online tool lets you can access your medical record, check test results, request prescription refills, or send a note to your doctor from the comfort of home.
Advanced Technology
We continually invest in the latest technology to detect eye disease and keep you seeing well. All of our offices are equipped and staffed to provide you with best-in-class care and access to specialized diagnostic equipment.
More Locations
Now you can select from any of our growing network of primary eye care offices. If one location is closer or more convenient for you, use it. We will ensure that your records are available upon arrival. Please understand that not all of our providers see patients at each place. If you want to stick with a particular provider, we will do our best to schedule you with them at a particular location. All of our locations - even the hospital - have free curbside parking and free wi-fi for your comfort and enjoyment.
Familiar Staff
Besides Dr. Wu, you will still see many of the same friendly faces at check-in, the optical shops and in the exam rooms.
Wellness Education
Our philosophy is to keep patients informed about health information affecting their eyes. If you want to learn more about vision, we provide many opportunities related to specific vision topics. Moreover, if you want receive our newsletter Vision for the Future, you can sign up for our mailing list or request an issue at any of our locations.
A Chance to Help
Many of our current patients help us promote vision health in Rochester and the surrounding community. Our Friends of the Flaum Eye Institute offers the opportunity for volunteers to participate in a variety of activities. Are you an educator? You can even help us by suggesting schools in disadvantaged neighborhoods to support through our Glasses for Kids program, providing care and vision correction to families in need!
