Bruegger’s Joins Children’s Miracle Network to Raise Money for Children’s Hospitals

Bruegger’s has launched a national fundraising campaign to benefit Children’s Miracle Network. The bagel chain, with 299 locations in 26 states, will support nearly 50 local hospitals by donating a portion of proceeds from sales of its popular Bottomless Mugs through the end of the year.

Guests who purchase the 2011 Bottomless Mug will not only receive unlimited free refills of Bruegger’s coffee, tea or soft drinks for a full year -- they’ll also contribute to a great cause. In Rochester, NY, proceeds will benefit Golisano Children’s Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center.

In addition, Bruegger’s will host a Free Coffee Day on Wednesday, Nov. 10. Until 2 p.m., all Bruegger’s locations will serve up a free regular drip coffee. In return, patrons can help miracles happen by donating their spare change (or more) at canisters located at the register. All guest donations on that day will help Golisano Children’s Hospital provide the best possible care for babies, children and adolescents in the Finger Lakes region.

“We have a strong commitment to our local communities,” said Bruegger’s CEO, Jim Greco. “Children’s Miracle Network reflects these core values and allows everyone associated with Bruegger’s – our guests, employees and franchisees - to help make miracles happen in their own neighborhoods.”

Through this campaign, Bruegger’s hopes to raise a total of $100,000 for local children’s hospitals.
