Diet and Cancer Prevention Talk April 27 at Wilmot Cancer Center

The link between diet and cancer prevention and recurrence will be the focus of a lecture at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, at the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center.
The free session will be led by dietitian Joanna Lipp, M.S., R.D., of the Wilmot Cancer Center. Sheâll also address plant-based diets and the components of various foods that have cancer-fighting potential. Lipp has nearly 20 years of experience working with people with cancer and is also a licensed massage therapist.
Recently, a study from the American Institute for Cancer Research suggested that nearly 80 percent of cancers could be prevented with diet and lifestyle changes.
The event is part of a monthly integrative oncology lecture series for patients who want to learn more about improving their quality of life during cancer care and survival. To register for the event, call (585) 276-5432.
The lecture series is held on the third Tuesday of each month and open to the public.
