“Dine Out for Wilmot” to Benefit Nurse Education at the Wilmot Cancer Center
On Wednesday, Sept. 18, supporting the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center is as easy as a meal out. Skip the meal preparations and join the inaugural Dine Out for Wilmot event, where participating restaurants will donate a portion of their food sales for the day to support oncology nursing education.
“Nurses play a vital role in the unparalleled cancer care that patients receive here every day,” said Jonathan Friedberg, M.D., director, Wilmot Cancer Center. “Dine Out for Wilmot is a fun and easy way to support continuing education for nurses at the Cancer Center while enjoying a good meal.”
Eight restaurants will be participating in this year’s event, including The Basin Pub, located at 637 Pittsford-Victor Road in Pittsford, which is generously donating 50 percent of their food sales. The other participating restaurants include:
- Good Smoke BBQ
- Hedges Nine Mile Point
- Max of Eastman Place
- Max Chophouse
- Max at the Gallery
- Simply Crêpes in Canandaigua and Pittsford
