Qirong Huang, DDS, MS is graduating from the GME AEGD program, after completing a two-year AEGD program in 2022 and a Research Fellowship in 2020.

Q. In what way did your EIOH experience allow you to grow professionally?
A. The clinical resources are fabulous in EIOH and we’re able to perform comprehensive treatment and gain advanced training and rotation in Oral Surgery, Orafacial Pain, Prosthodontics and Periodontics and Orthodontics.
Q. In what way did your EIOH experience allow you to grow personally?
A. My residency makes me strong.
Q. What are next steps after you graduate?
A. I will become a clinician and a faculty member at EIOH's clinic downtown.
Q. What’s the best advice you ever received?
A. Treat others the way you want to be treated.
Q. Favorite part of Rochester?
A. Friendly people in the community.
Q. Last time you were in awe?
A. The moment I saw the PLUM Blossom that my husband and daughter drew in the Chinese watercolor painting class.
Q. The one thing you can’t live without?
A. My lovely family. I cannot reach where I am without their support and love.
Q. A person who has inspired you?
A. My mom. She is always optimistic about the future, and she told me that "Your destiny isn't written in the stars, but held in your hands."
Q. The one thing you’ve always wanted to do but never have:
A. Travel all around the world, enjoy the nature and food and different culture.
Q. If you could change one thing about yourself, it would be:
A. Apply to the AEGD program at an earlier time.
