Fairport Music and Food Festival Has Recipe for Success

Festival to benefit Golisano Children’s Hospital combines all the right ingredients

The Fairport Music and Food Festival has the perfect blend of music, entertainment, food, drinks, a great ambiance and fun, community-minded folks to produce an end-of-summer event you won’t want to miss. The festival, which will run from noon to dark Saturday, Aug. 28, is located in the heart of Fairport, at Lift Bridge Lane.

The highly anticipated musical line-up for this year’s fest includes Johnny B. and the MVPs, Brass Taxi, the Buzzards, the Campbell Brothers, Clearly From Negligence, the Debbie Kendrick Blues Band, Deborah Magone, the Deep Blue Dream, the Fools, Geoff Harder and the Moonlighters, Kindred Groove, Northside Johnny, The Root Beer Beaver, Small Town, Tommy Brunett, the Tussey Mountain Moonshiners, Uncle Plum and Wild Horses. An ample array of children's activities will host the Magic Guy, AirPlay, Grease Paint Alley Clowns, Adventures in Climbing: Bungy Trampoline & Rock Wall, Arts-n-Crafts and interactive drumming with drummer Ed of Rhythm Connect.

Proceeds from the festival will benefit Golisano Children’s Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
