Flaum Eye Institute Opens Strong Vision Optical Shop at College Town

 UR Medicine’s Flaum Eye Institute is opening a comprehensive optical shop at College Town, providing eye exams, prescription eyewear, contact lenses and sunglasses. The Strong Vision shop will open Friday, in conjunction with College Town grand-opening festivities.

Located at 1317 Mt. Hope Ave., the boutique-style shop features exam rooms and an extensive selection of frames, including exclusive access to Coco Song and William Morris lines of frames. It will be a resource for well vision exams and eye disease prevention programs.

“Flaum Eye Institute and Strong Vision are dedicated to providing access to exceptional optometric care in Rochester region and other communities we serve throughout Upstate New York,” said Steven Feldon, M.D., M.B.A., director of the Flaum Eye Institute and chair of Ophthalmology at University of Rochester Medical Center.

The shop will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and appointments can be made by calling 585-273-3937. Optometrists and ophthalmologists will work closely with the Flaum Eye Institute team when specialty care is needed.
