Get Free Admission to the 20th Annual Ten Ugly Men Festival
One of the most wildly anticipated events of the summer, the Ten Ugly Men Festival hosts a party you don’t want to miss. For two decades, the Uglies – a group of boisterous businessmen set on having fun while doing good – have held an all-day festival that benefits charities in Rochester, including the Bright Eyes Fund, which goes toward pediatric cancer treatment at Golisano Children’s Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
This year’s festival will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at Genesee Valley Park. Adult admission is $30 in advance and $40 at the door. Kids ages 13 to 20 are $10 and ages 12 and under get in free.
The Uglies are offering a special opportunity to join in on the fun of this annual festival for free. To celebrate their 20th year, the Uglies want to test your speed in a competition called “Beat the Uglies.” The Uglies are giving away free admission to anyone who can beat the Ten Ugly Men Relay team in the annual 5K race.
“This should be a lot of fun since we, the runners, are far from being athletes and are all working stiffs with families,” joked Mike Hartman, one of the infamous Uglies. To register for this year’s run, visit http://www.medvedrunwalk.com/events.asp?action=view&ID=68.
