Indulge in a Taste of Tuscany without Leaving Rochester

Golisano Children’s Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center welcomes travel-lovers, party-goers and anyone invested in helping our region’s children to attend the Children’s Hospital’s 22nd annual Gala beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at a new location, the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. The venue will be transformed into an Italian getaway for one elegant evening with entertainment, decadent food and libation.

“We wanted to offer supporters of the Children’s Hospital an opportunity to feel like they’re on a lavish vacation without having to leave home,” said Betsy Findlay, associate director of Advancement at Golisano Children’s Hospital. Find Treasures at the Trunk SaleIf you're looking to accessorize your outfit for the extravagant evening at the Gala, handbag designer Debbie Brooks will be in town to hold a trunk sale 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Richard's Fine Jewelers, located at 1855 Monroe Ave. Brooks has received a lot of media attention for her bags, which have been featured in fashion magazines and worn by many celebrities.
