MaggieMoo’s, EastView Events Oct. 17 Benefit Wilmot Cancer Center

MaggieMoo’s Ice Cream and Treatery and EastView Mall will celebrate the city of Rochester’s 175th anniversary with a series sweet events Saturday, Oct. 17. Funds raised throughout the day will support the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center, the leader in local cancer care and research.
Visitors and ice cream lovers can enjoy free face painting, balloon sculptures and autograph-signings with Rochester’s most popular mascots.
MaggieMoo’s will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new location, in the Food Court, at 1 p.m., and then at 2, there will be a Celebrity Scoop-off, featuring community leaders, television anchors, and dancers from the Knighthawks and Amerks.
Mascots from Rochester’s sports teams will sign autographs and the Ontario County Sheriff’s Department will offer car-seat safety checks and child identification cards.
The James P. Wilmot Cancer Center, the Rochester and Finger Lakes region’s largest center for cancer care and research, has a team of more than 400 doctors, scientist, nurses and support staff dedicated to excellence in patient care and research for cures.
