Oct. 21 Wish List Society Happy Hour Supports Wilmot Cancer Center

The Wish List Society is hosting a happy hour fundraiser for the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at Murphy’s Law, 370 East Ave.  The Wish List Society is a group of young professionals dedicated to supporting patients at the Wilmot Cancer Center and show that the next generation cares.

There will be hors d’oeuvres silent auction and drawings. The cost is $10.

“We all know how difficult a cancer diagnosis is for the patient and their families,” said Jim Wilmot, grandson of the late James P. Wilmot. “There is tremendous hardship and financial stress and we can help by supporting the Wilmot Cancer Center’s patient needs program and funding the purchase of equipment and items that make their experiences better.”

The Wilmot Cancer Center, based at the University of Rochester Medical Center, is the leader in cancer care and research in the Rochester and Finger Lakes region.
