O’Donovan Named Administrator of URMC Strong West

Bryan J. O'Donovan, M.P.A., M.S., has been appointed administrator of operations for URMC Strong West.O’Donovan has been with the University of Rochester Medical Center for nearly three years, most recently serving as program administrator for the URMC Program in Heart Failure, Artificial Heart & Transplantation.

As Strong West administrator, O’Donovan is responsible for overseeing operations based at the former Lakeside Memorial Hospital facility in Brockport. Strong West currently consists of urgent care, imaging, lab, and primary care services, in addition to orthopaedic, cardiac and urology specialists. An ambulatory surgical center and a free-standing emergency department are proposed for 2014 and are awaiting approval from the state Department of Health.“Bryan’s expertise as a program administrator, along with his commitment to excellent patient care and customer service, make him a welcome addition to our Strong West team and its growing group of services in the Brockport area,” said Elizabeth Slavinskas, R.N., M.S., senior director, Strong Memorial Hospital Ambulatory Care Services.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, O’Donovan has held positions with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Canandaigua VA Medical Center. He also has worked for the Salvation Army, Rochester.O’Donovan received a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in human resource development from St. John Fisher College, and a master of public administration/health policy from American Public University, Charles Town, W.Va.
