Rochester Victory Alliance Welcomes 2 New Team Members
The Rochester Victory Alliance, the University of Rochester Medical Center’s HIV Vaccine Trials Unit, has added two new staff members to its team.
Jason Roberts was named manager of community education and recruitment for the Rochester Victory Alliance.
Roberts earned his undergraduate degree from State University of New York College at Oswego. He most recently served as marketing director at Cornell’s Jewelers.
He is a resident of the City of Rochester.
Christopher Foote was named a community educator/recruiter for the Rochester Victory Alliance.
Foote earned an associate’s degree in health sciences from Monroe Community College. He most recently served as a patient care technician at Unity Hospital and Pittsford Pediatrics.
He resides in Webster.
The University of Rochester Medical Center was one of the first sites in the nation to conduct HIV vaccine research studies, beginning in 1988. Since its inception, nearly 1,300 people have participated in more than 50 vaccine research trials. The Rochester Victory Alliance is a member of the international HIV Vaccine Trials Network, which is supported by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases of the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH). The Rochester Victory Alliance currently works with HIV vaccine research teams in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Kingston, Jamaica.
