Golisano Children’s Hospital will hold its 21st annual Stroll for Strong Kids and 5K Run on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Genesee Valley Park.

More than 10,000 people are expected to participate in the event, which raised over $400,000 for the patients at Golisano Children’s Hospital in 2016.

“The Stroll is for our patients and families,” said Stephanie Sheets, assistant director of community affairs. “We are so grateful to everyone who participates, especially those teams that come back year after year. It’s wonderful to see how supportive this community is of its children’s hospital.”

This year’s Stroll will kick off with on-site 5K registration at 7:30 a.m., followed by the race at 8:30 a.m. Those participating in the walk can register on-site beginning at 8 a.m., with the walk starting at 10:30 a.m. Thousands of children’s hospital supporters and personalized teams will then fill the park until 1 p.m. to enjoy a variety of family friendly activities, including more than a dozen bounce houses, crafts, music, games, and more.

Abbott’s Frozen Custard is the event’s presenting sponsor for the sixth consecutive year, and Subway and Zweigle’s will provide lunch for the attendees.

The 5K run, which is USA Track & Field certified, starts and ends in Genesee Valley Park, and is $30 for advanced registration; $40 on-site. To register for the 21st Annual Stroll for Strong Kids visit
