Talk on Yoga and Cancer Sept. 15 at Wilmot Cancer Center

People can learn about the therapeutic benefits of yoga during a talk from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center.

The free session will be led by Joanne Wu M.D., a resident of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Rochester Medical Center, who is also a registered teacher with Yoga Alliance.

Participations will learn more about the feasibility of yoga and the scientific evidence to support is therapeutic benefits. Patients, family and health care providers are welcome.

The integrative oncology lecture series is held on the third Tuesday of each month, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., and is for patients who want to learn more about improving their quality of life during cancer care and survival. To register for the event, call (585) 275-6426
