UR Medicine’s Campbell Named Chair of National Family Medicine Council

UR Medicine primary care physician Thomas L. Campbell, M.D., the William Rocktaschel Professor and chair of the Department of Family Medicine, was recently elected chair of the Council of Academic Family Medicine (CAFM).

CAFM consists of the leadership of the Association of Departments of Family Medicine, the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors, the North American Primary Care Research Group, and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. It provides a unified voice for academic family medicine. 

Campbell previously served as president of the Association of Departments of Family Medicine and is currently on a national committee examining the Future of Family Medicine.
