Wilmot Cancer Center Welcomes Lung Cancer Expert

Lung cancer expert Manoj Agarwal, M.D., M.B.A., has joined the University of Rochester Medical Center’s James P. Wilmot Cancer Center. 

He is director of the multidisciplinarythoracic oncology program at the Wilmot Cancer Center, having joined from the Sutter Cancer Center in Sacramento, Calif.   

 Agarwal studied medicine at Christian Medical College Vellore in India and completed fellowship training in hematology-oncology and bone marrow transplantation at University of Illinois and Rush University Medical Center, respectively. He then joined the thoracic oncology team at University of Arkansas, and also earned a master’s degree in business administration.

He is an active member of the Southwest Oncology Group and has led a number of clinical studies in lung, prostate and renal cancers and has published several articles in oncology journals.

The Wilmot Cancer Center is the region’s leader in cancer care and research. The center has a team of more than 400 doctors, nurses, scientists and staff dedicated to finding cures. .
