Matthew MacDougall, M.D., M.P.H.
Matthew was born and raised in Syracuse, NY. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at SUNY Geneseo. He went on to receive a Masters in Public Health through the combined program at Upstate Medical University and the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. During that time he served a two year appointment as a Lerner Fellow at the Lerner Center for Public Health Promotion. Thereafter he completed medical school at Upstate Medical University. Matthew completed his Pediatric and Chief Residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. His research interests include the integration of palliative care principles with pediatric critical care, and improving care for patients with Sickle Cell Disease. In his free time, Matthew enjoys camping, traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends along Lake Ontario.
