The Office for Faculty Development strives to provide an institutional framework that includes a broad range of activities to help renew and assist faculty in their multiple academic roles. These activities are designed to improve the knowledge and skills essential to their performance as educators, and to assist faculty members in gaining a better understanding of academic career development, mentoring, and leadership.
2014 Faculty Development Colloquium
The Annual Health Professions' Faculty Development Colloquium was held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry. It was sponsored by The Office for Faculty Development, the Center for Experiential Learning, and the Clinical and Translational Science Institute.

Other Faculty Development Initiatives
The 2014-2015 Faculty Development Workshop schedule has not yet been finalized. Please click here for a complete listing of 2013-2014 workshops for an idea of the kinds of topics that are covered. In addition to the Faculty Development Workshop series, last year there were several new offerings that will be continued this year:
- Academic Core Curriculum for Junior Faculty, co-sponsored by the Clinical & Translational Science Institute and the Office for Faculty Development (this series' program has already been finalized for October 2014)
- Faculty Workshops in Medical Humanities, co-sponsored by the Division of Medical Humanities & Bioethics and the Office for Faculty Development (schedule for 2014-2015 is not yet available)
- TiME for Faculty Development - Become a Digital Citizen, co-sponsored by Edward G. Miner Library and the Office for Faculty Development (schedule for 2014-2015 is not yet available)
- Junior Faculty Biomedical Research Association co-directed by Michael (Rusty) Elliott, PhD and Michelle Janelsins, PhD, MPH (dates for 2014-2015 have been posted)
