Highland Hospital Gala 2013

A Gathering of Friends. A Celebration in the Irish Tradition.

Highland Hospital’s seventh annual Gala took place on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center — the day before St. Patrick’s Day. The Gala is Highland's largest fundraising event, and more than 600 people took part in this year's celebration. Irish music, Irish dancing, a tasting of Irish beers filled the hall with excitement. Guests also enjoyed a cocktail hour, an elegant dinner, and were able to participate in a silent auction and a live auction for variety of exciting merchandise including gift certificates to local restaurants, fine wine, jewelry, art, and vacation packages.

A special highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Heritage Award to Mayor Thomas Richards and Betty Richards for their generous and longstanding support of Highland Hospital. Avice M. O’Connell, M.D. and Timothy O’Connor, M.D. served as event chairs.

The proceeds from the 2013 Gala will support the renovation and expansion of Highland’s Radiation Oncology clinic. Thank you to all participants! Your support means a great deal to the hundreds of cancer patients who rely on life-saving radiation therapy at Highland Radiation Oncology.
