What is ORBIT?
Established in 2008, the Observational Research and Behavioral Information Technology (ORBIT) Lab and Intranet site within the Department of Psychiatry provide support in the use of observational research methods that involve recording and coding real world or analogue transactions.
ORBIT Goals
- To prove a secure, efficient, and reliable method for investigators to edit, backup, store, and access observational research on site and remotely;
- To provide training and technical support to projects conducting observational research in the use of their video data;
- To provide a secure, comfortable environment for project personnel to code observational data;
- To provide cost-effective access to equipment, services, and support to projects conducting observational research.
