Acupuncture

Acupuncture involves inserting extremely thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body. By inserting needles into these strategic points, acupuncture practitioners believe that your energy flow will re-balance. Acupuncture can benefit individuals suffering from sports injuries, acute and chronic pain, headaches, and other conditions involving the neurological, muscular-skeletal, respiratory, digestive, genito-urinary and gynecologic and reproductive systems. Our program will also benefit individuals who are looking to reduce stress and/or maintain emotional balance and well-being.

Time: By appointment

Location: Penfield Sports and Spine Rehabilitation Office, Strong West Office

Fee: Many insurance companies now offer policies that cover acupuncture. Check with your insurance company to determine if your treatment will be covered. Self-pay options are also available if your insurance company does not cover acupuncture.

Dry Needling

Dry needling uses thin needles, which are inserted in and around sore muscles or tender "trigger points," to improve flexibility and reduce pain. Dry needling zeroes in on the source of pain to reduce muscle tension and increase blood flow to speed the healing process. It can also benefit individuals suffering from acute or chronic pain, and other conditions involving muscular-skeletal, headaches, plantar fasciitis and more. Dry needling is used to improve athletic performance by helping relax muscles so you can get the most from your body.

Time & Location: By appointment. To schedule an appointment or for more information, please call (585) 341-9037.

Fee: Check with your insurance company to determine if your treatment will be covered. Self-pay options are also available if your insurance company does not cover dry needling.
