Welcome to the Center for Musculoskeletal Research
The Center for Musculoskeletal Research (CMSR) is comprised of highly integrated faculty and trainees from a variety of departments, including Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, and Medicine (Allergy/Immunology and Rheumatology, Endocrinology), Biomedical Genetics, Biochemistry and Biophysics, Environmental Medicine, UR CTSI, Pharmacology and Physiology, Microbiology and Immunology, and Pediatrics.
Principal investigators from these various departments share research space and facilities that support over 100 scientists with shared research interests while working in a programmatic manner to address the most challenging questions in the musculoskeletal sciences.
As part of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry the Center’s commitment is not only to the highest quality research, but it is also our mission to train young investigators in the process of discovery so that there will always be a flow of clinicians and scientists devoted to advancing musculoskeletal health.
