Meliora Weekend 2018
Soledad O’Brien, award-winning journalist, speaker, and author, will be the keynote speaker for this year’s Meliora Weekend, Oct 4-7. She headlines a weekend that includes Pulitzer Prize–winning author Ron Chernow, former Republican National Committee Chair Michael Steele, comedian Nasim Pedrad, the genre-hopping musical ensemble Pink Martini, and a variety of activities—including class reunions, homecoming events, and family fun—for alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, and the entire Rochester community. Meliora Weekend registration will open at noon on Wednesday, July 25 at rochester.edu/melioraweekend.

To make the world ever better, the University of Rochester must be ever better. That simple truth was the foundation of The Meliora Challenge, the University’s comprehensive fundraising campaign that concluded in June 2016.
Now, it’s the philosophy of the Rochester Model.
The Rochester Model seeks to build on the momentum of The Meliora Challenge and further strengthen engagement and partnership within the University community.
Across our campuses and around the world, our students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends are helping us create a better society. Their efforts and impact are shared in their stories.
