Pediatric Mobile Clinic Initiative
The Golisano Children's Pediatric Mobile Clinic Initiative is on the the road to improve access to health care for children and teens in Rochester. We're deploying a state-of-the-art mobile clinic that will bring exceptional pediatric services directly to our patients. This program provides initial services, connecting children to primary care doctors throughout the community, ensuring every child has a foundation for lifelong health.
Our Mission
To deliver compassionate and fair health care to youth and young adults by meeting them in places they trust, keeping their care private, removing obstacles, and making sure they get the help they need to grow and be healthy.
What We Offer
Our dedicated clinical team will:
- Travel to communities within the City of Rochester and meet children where they live. We will travel to schools, community centers, shelters, and youth serving organizations
- Provide mobile pediatric primary care services (well-child checks, vaccines)
- Connect families with existing pediatricians or find new practices close to home and help build a pathway to lifelong health
- Listen to kids and families to make sure they are getting what they need
- Ensure that all kids and teens up to age 20 can receive health care regardless of their insurance status
- Connect children and families with a medical home in a close-by location to make sure they are supported and care is ongoing

Built by the Community for the Community
We have partnered with healthcare providers, community leaders, and organizations serving youth and families to better understand community needs, identify gaps in care, and ensure services are responsive, equitable, and community-informed.
We have brought together a Caregiver and Youth Advisory Board (CYAB) which plays a critical role in shaping and informing mobile unit decisions from design and outreach strategies to service delivery and implementation to ensure the work reflects the real needs and perspectives of youth, families, and the community.
