Welcome to NEURO2ALL
The Del Monte Institute Neuroscience Commission is committed to expanding access to neuroscience education and inspiring students of all backgrounds to pursue careers in science. We believe that fostering interest in science must begin early in a student's educational journey. NEURO2ALL is designed to nurture curiosity about the brain and support the next generation of neuroscientists by engaging students from pre-K through junior high.
Through a partnership between NEURO2ALL workgroup members and students enrolled in the Science Outreach to All course, the program delivers hands-on and interactive neuroscience experiences to young individuals of the local community. These engagements aim to broaden exposure to scientific discovery and promote enthusiasm for research and learning.

Register Now
Course will be held Spring semester 2025 on Wednesdays 10:30am - 12:10pm.
Wednesday January 22nd is the last day to register for this class.
NEURO2ALL is built around a custom-designed, two-credit course for undergraduate and graduate students. In this course, students work individually and collaboratively to develop, plan, and lead hands-on learning modules introducing core neuroscience concepts at pop-up events hosted by community partner organizations (e.g., schools and museums). This course offers participants the opportunity to engage in fun and educational experiences, and reinforces the message that scientific literacy empowers individuals to make informed decisions in everyday life.
Upcoming Events
- July 2025 - One popup event - NTID TechTigers
- August 2025 - Three popup events - R-Camps
What: At each pop-up, there will be 3-4 predefined hands-on activities that teach children about the brain and/or a science topic. Children will rotate through each station, and at the end of each pop-up, they will take home a bag of the science activities so that they can teach their friends/families what they learned as "scientists-in-training". The grades of the children we will be working with range between 1st - 9th grade depending on the site.
How: Most volunteers will aid others in leading one activity, so do not worry if you are not Neuroscience oriented. We will pair you with someone who is, or someone who has done science outreach like this before. Additionally, we will teach you the activities prior to the visits. Each pop-up will be ~1hr and we will carpool between sites for all those who need it.
When: For the NTID TechTigers, the one pop-up date will be between Monday (7/28) - Thursday (7/31). For the R-Camps, depending on our volunteers' availability and each site's availability, these 3 pop-ups will take place on 1-2 days in the first or second week of August.
If you are interested, please fill out this interest form with all your availability by the end of next week (6/27).
