Updates from Highland Regarding Global Crowdstrike Issue
July 19- 6:30 p.m.
Highland Hospital’s emergency and inpatient care, as well as normal operations, continue uninterrupted.
However, some computers remain down in many areas, which makes it difficult for staff to work as efficiently as usual. Our IT teams will continue working through the weekend to bring more computers online, with the goal of returning operations to full efficiency as quickly as possible.
We appreciate our patients’ understanding as we work toward full restoration. Patients will receive updates on MyChart.
July 19- 10 a.m.
Highland is responding to the global Crowdstrike software issue. Our Epic electronic medical record system is not affected. However, multiple computers that support clinical functions are down. A fix has been issued, and our IT team is working urgently to reinstate all impacted systems with a focus on maintaining safe and timely patient care.
Emergency and inpatient care at Highland Hospital is continuing without interruption. MyChart is also available for patient communications. We are working to ensure that elective procedures and outpatient appointments also take place as scheduled. However, there may be delays in the opening of many Urgent Care centers, lab draw stations, ambulatory practices, and patient call centers. We appreciate our patients’ understanding as we work to restore full operations as quickly as possible.
We will post updates on MyChart, Highland social media accounts, and this page.
