Pathology Honored by URochester Medicine Board
The Pathology project team that led the most recent phase of our Central Lab consolidation and expansion was recognized by the URochester Medicine Board of Directors and the SMH Quality Institute with a Board Excellence Award. Nominated by Pathology Chair Christa Whitney-Miller, MD, and Melissa Allen, Vice Chair of Administration and Senior Director of Laboratory Services, the 10-member group received a Team Award for the planning and execution of the anatomic pathology phase, part of the most significant capital project in our department's history.
"Through exceptional leadership, accountability, and collaboration, this team delivered a complex, multi-year initiative that has transformed our operational capacity and positioned the department—and the URochester Medicine system—for sustained growth and excellence," Dr. Whitney-Miller and Allen shared with the nomination committee.
