Friends of Strong Memorial Hospital Seeks Teen Volunteers

The Friends of Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking area high school students who would like to volunteer this summer at Strong Memorial Hospital of the University of Rochester Medical Center. Positions for retail, patient contact, clerical/office and information/greeter positions are available.

The program welcomes students who are 14 years old by July 1. It will run from July 6 to Sept. 5, with students expected to participate once a week for three- to four-hour shifts. Students may choose the position they would like to work in; however, jobs are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. To schedule an interview, please call (585) 275-2420 beginning May 1.

The Friends of Strong is an organization of approximately 1,000 volunteers that advances the mission of Strong Memorial Hospital by providing services to patients, families and visitors, promoting the hospital in the community, and raising money to support patient care needs.
