Second Year Fellows
Hope Kile, M.D.
Dr. Kile is from Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania and completed undergraduate studies in Biology and Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh (H2P!) before moving to University at Buffalo for Medical School. She completed her pediatric residency training and chief year at the University of Rochester, and now have continued to stay on here as a Pediatric Cardiology Fellow. Dr. Kile's research interests include how reduction-oxidate balance affects neonatal mitochondrial function, which she plans to continue to pursue in Dr. Porter's research lab, and medical education. In her free time, she likes to take walks with her husband and dog, go boxing, and take weekend trips to water ski.
Monique Sterling, M.D.
Monique was born in Manhasset, NY. She completed her undergraduate education at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, and afterwards attended Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ. She completed her residency in pediatrics in the Bronx, NY at Montefiore Medical Center. Her interests in pediatric cardiology include interventional cardiology and cardiac intensive care. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and dog, listening to music, cooking and DIY crafts.

Karunakar Vadalmudi, M.D.

Karun is originally from India and is currently pursuing his Pediatric Cardiology fellowship at Golisano Children's Hospital in Rochester, NY. He completed his Pediatric residency at One Brooklyn Health System in New York and further specialized with a Fellowship in Pulmonary Hypertension in Canada. His clinical interests center on Neonatal Cardiology with a strong focus on neonatal cardiac interventions and the management of pulmonary hypertension. Dr. Vadlamudi is deeply committed to advancing the field of cardiopulmonary medicine and is passionate about delivering high-acuity, evidence-based care to neonates and children with complex congenital and acquired heart diseases. Outside of medicine, Dr. Vadlamudi enjoys spending quality time with his children, listening to worship music and gardening.
