Individualized Clinical Curriculum/Electives
(Length of rotation variable: 2-4 weeks – where not otherwise specified)
- Ultrasound
- Vascular Access Team (VAT) – 2 weeks
- Sedation
- Transport – 2 weeks
- Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM)
- Newborn Nursery (NBN) (in addition to required NBN time)
- Palliative Care
- Referral and Evaluation Service for Abused Children (REACH) – 2 weeks
- Genetics
- Infectious Disease – 2 weeks
- Child Psychiatry Consult Service – 4 weeks
- Anesthesia – 2 weeks
- Complex Care
- Adolescent Medicine (Eating Disorder Service (EDO Service) – 2 weeks
Each fellow’s plans and needs for the individualized curriculum will be developed with a faculty mentor, which will be part of the development of each fellow’s individualized learning plan. Each faculty mentor will guide and evaluate each fellow alongside the program director(s). We have developed some foundational goals and objectives for the clinical and non-clinical experiences, with an opportunity for modification and revision based on an individual fellow’s goals and interests.

Together, the fellow and faculty mentor will develop goals and objectives for each non-clinical individualized experience.
