Research Celebration Day

The Department of Pediatrics will host its annual "Pediatrics Research Celebration Day" on Wednesday October 30th. The day will showcase the incredible pediatric research being conducted across the medical center, and feature a lecture by this year’s Gilbert B. Forbes Scholar: Robert M. Blum, M.D., M.P.H., Ph.D., Emeritus William H. Gates, Sr. Professor Bloomberg School of Public Health and the immediate past Director, Johns Hopkins Urban Health Institute.

Scientific Poster Session

Call for Entries

From 10:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m., there will be a Scientific Poster Session in the Flaum Atrium. We invite everyone who has presented their research on any child health topic at a regional or national meeting to showcase their poster at this event. It is open to anyone in the Department of Pediatrics (including faculty, post-docs, nurses, trainees and staff), as well as anyone in the medical center who is doing pediatric-themed research.

$100 prizes will be awarded to the best poster in the following categories (awardee must be a first author):

  • Best Poster by a Junior Faculty Member
  • Best Poster by a Trainee (medical student, resident, fellow or staff)

If you wish to present your poster, please e-mail your information (title, authors, departmental affiliations) to no later than Friday, October 11th. If you intend to compete for one of the awards, please identify the category you are entering.
