Current Fellows

YkikoThird Year Fellow

Yukiko Miura, M.D.

Dr. Miura was born and raised in a small town called Kota in central Japan. She graduated from University of Maine with Bachelors in Music and International Affairs, and attended medical school at American University of the Caribbean in St. Maarten. She completed residency in pediatrics at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY. Her research interests include understanding how maternal nutritional status affects the fetal and neonatal health. Outside of fellowship, she enjoys occasional trip home to Japan and relaxing at home with her husband and three daughters.

Laura PriceThird Year Fellow

Laura Price, M.D.

Dr. Price is originally from the Syracuse area. She graduated from Wellesley College before returning to NY State to attend medical school at SUNY Stony Brook. She completed her pediatrics residency and chief residency here at University of Rochester Medical Center. Following residency she worked in a local private practice for two years while also working as a hospitalist in our NICU. Since then she has worked as a Newborn Nursery and NICU hospitalist full-time before finally deciding to apply for a NICU fellowship. Her research interests include neurologic development in IDM. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys skiing, biking, a variety of home improvement projects, and spending time with her nieces.

Blair GermainSecond Year Fellow

Blair Germain, M.D.

Blair was born and raised in Brooklyn NY. She graduated from Binghamton University with a Bachelors degree in Molecular and Cell Biology. She then attended medical school at  the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, Sint Marten. She completed her pediatric residency training at Goryeb Children's Hospital in Morristown, NJ. Blair's research interests include neonatal neurology and nutrition. She loves health and fitness and her favorite thing to do outside of fellowship is go to the gym or spend time with her nephews.

Jonna MarretSecond Year Fellow

Jonna Marret, D.O.

Dr. Marret is from the small town of Cardwell, Missouri. She received her Bachelor of Science from Arkansas State University. She then went on to Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. After medical school, she completed her pediatric residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her research interest is neonatal lung injury. Dr. Marret enjoys reading, spending time with her husband, Adam, and loves to visit family back home in Missouri and Arkansas.

GeorgeSecond Year Fellow

Koshy M George, M.B.B.S.
Dr. George is from Trivandrum, a city in South India. He attended medical school at The Government T.D. Medical College in Alappuzha, India. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. His research interests include neonatal infectious diseases. He loves to travel, watch movies, listen to music and enjoys spending time at home and traveling with his wife.

Jason JacksonFirst Year Fellow

Jason Jackson, D.O.

Jason was born and raised in the small town of Bridgeport in central West Virginia. He attended West Virginia Wesleyan College where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theatre performance after which he spent time traveling the country as a professional performer. He returned to complete his pre-medical studies at the University of Pittsburgh before attending medical school at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at the former Miami Children’s Hospital, now Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, in Miami, FL. While in residency he became interested and active in the areas of health policy and QI, which he hopes to continue to develop throughout his time in Rochester. Outside of fellowship his interests include supporting live local music and theatre and traveling whenever possible.

Mallory PrideauxFirst Year Fellow

Mallory Prideaux, M.D.

Dr. Prideaux is from Houston, TX, although she moved around a lot during her childhood, including living in Venezuela for 5 years. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and then attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. She completed her pediatric residency at Maimonides Infants and Children's Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. Her research interests include neonatal HIE as well as graduate medical education. Dr. Prideaux enjoys reading, horseback riding, traveling, and spending time with her husband and her two cats.

Perihan UlemaFirst Year Fellow

Perihan Ulema, D.O.

Peri was born and raised along the Jersey Shore. She received a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry as well as French and Francophone Studies at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. She also spent a semester abroad in Avignon, France where she strengthened her mastery of the French language. Peri finished both graduate and medical school at UMDNJ/Rowan University in New Jersey where she published research on human telomerase activity.  She went on to complete her residency in Pediatrics at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where she conducted research in neonatal neurology. In her free time, Peri enjoys traveling to new places and visiting her family and friends back home. She is excited to discover all that Rochester has to offer.
