Dr. Dent began his career teaching elementary and middle school for six years prior to obtaining his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He completed his family medicine residency at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Dr. Dent spent his first five years after residency working in urban practices in Rochester, and continues to work downtown once a week in a chemical dependency treatment center. He is fluent in Spanish.
