Mr. Pacella is a Medical Physicist and the Clinical Supervisor of Medical Physics and Dosimetry at the Wilmot Cancer Institute, University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY. He graduated from the University at Buffalo with a BS in Nuclear Medicine Technology and a MS in Radiation Science. His interests include quality assurance, SBRT, SRS, quality and safety within radiation oncology, adaptive radiation therapy, and practice accreditation.

In recognition of his extensive professional service, Mr. Pacella is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology (ACR). He has been a surveyor since 1998 and a member of the Radiation Oncology Practice Accreditation Committee since 2006, where he served as chair of the Physics Subcommittee from 2016 to 2021. He is the current medical physics chair for the Committee on Practice Parameters and Technical Standards. He also participates in the following ACR committees: Technical Standards and Guidelines where he was primary author on several Radiation Oncology Technical Standards; Commission on Radiation Oncology; and Commission on Medical Physics.

Additionally, Mr. Pacella serves on the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) Therapy Practice Accreditation Committee, and is a committee member representing therapeutic medical physics for the New York State Radiological Society.
