Lindsay Sycz, PsyD (she/her) is a licensed clinical psychologist who serves as Assistant Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN). Dr. Sycz completed her APA-accredited clinical internship at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC). She went on to complete a postdoctoral fellowship specializing in Women’s Health, Integrated Care, and Family Therapy through URMC’s Institute for the family where she also attained a Post-Degree Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Dr. Sycz is Associate Director of the Integrated Care Family (ICF) Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship Track. In this role, she supports psychology trainees’ professional development by providing administrative oversight, implementing clinical supervision, and teaching. Additionally, she works with resident and faculty physicians across the medical center as a communication coach, with particular focus in Urology. Her educational expertise helps improve areas of patient- and family-centered communication skills, professionalism, and wellness.

Dr. Sycz’s area of clinical focus is on reproductive, sexual, and relational health. She specializes in working with individuals (ages 18+) and couples who are navigating fertility challenges and third-party reproduction, family planning and decision-making, grief and loss, perinatal mental health disorders, sexuality and sexual functioning, relationship concerns, and managing medical comorbidities. She completed Levels 1 and 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. She is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine Mental Health Professional Group, Postpartum Support International, Collaborative Family Healthcare Association, and American Psychological Association (Div. 38: Society for Health Psychology, Div. 43: Society for Couples and Family Psychology). She has presented locally and at national conferences on trauma-informed care in OB/GYN, the psychosocial aspects of fertility challenges, and communication coaching in graduate medical education.

As a clinician and educator, she is committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment to support patients/couples and learners alike on their personal and professional journeys.
