Jared B. Hammond, PsyD is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry who has joined us as the Clinical Neuropsychologist for the Strong Epilepsy Center and the Behavioral Health Service.

Dr. Hammond earned his Doctor of Psychology from Kean University’s Combined School and Clinical Psychology Program. He completed his residency at Denver Health Medical Center and fellowship at Dartmouth Health/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

Throughout his training, Dr. Hammond has worked with individuals across the lifespan with experience in neurodevelopmental, neurodegenerative, neurologic, psychiatric, and medical conditions, including concussion, stroke, and long-COVID. Clinically, he specializes in epilepsy as well as pre/post–surgical evaluations for neurologic and medical conditions.

Research

His research interests include lifespan epilepsy, linguistic and visuospatial skills, cannabis use, and performance validity. His primary teaching goal is to create a dedicated neuropsychological training program for individuals at all their training levels.
