Kelly Nye, PhD, is a Senior Instructor working within the Departments of Psychiatry and Neurology at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC). She is a licensed psychologist in the state of New York. Her clinical passions are integrative care and improving the mental wellbeing of individuals diagnosed with neurological conditions.

Within her role at URMC, she serves as the clinic director of a behavioral health clinic embedded into the Department of Neurology. She also provides inpatient consultation at Strong Epilepsy Center's comprehensive long-term video EEG monitoring unit, is a member of the Physician Communication Coaching Program team, actively contributes to research, and enjoys educating the community, physicians, and other mental health professionals on various topics.

With a strong commitment to lifelong learning, Dr. Nye first achieved her Masters of Science at the University of Rochester in Marriage and Family Therapy. She later received her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Counseling Psychology at West Virginia University, where she focused her training on pain management and neuropsychology. She completed an internship at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center, and then went on to complete a prestigious two-year psychology fellowship concentrating on the assessment and treatment of individuals with functional neurological disorders and other neurological conditions. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Functional Neurological Disorders Society.
