Biography

Dr. Jones is interested in providing health care for pediatric patients with chronic illnesses across their lifespan. She hopes to focus on educating providers, patients and their families about the importance of planning for transition throughout childhood, as well as on identifying barriers to the delivery of quality care during times of transition to adult care

Professional Background

Marybeth Jones completed medical school at Temple University School of Medicine, and then residency training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She then came to Rochester as a general academic pediatric fellow, where she also received a Master's degree in Health Professions Education. As an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Internal Medicine, Marybeth provides care for patients in the Golisano Children's Hospital primary care practice/medical home and serves as the lead physician on the Orange team. Her academic work will focus on medical student education, and on transitions of care for young people with chronic illness. Marybeth also cares for patients at the Culver Medical Group, and works with medical students and residents there.
