Biography

Dr. Martin has a wide variety of interests that include the growth and development of critically ill children, palliative care and interdisciplinary team management, safety and quality improvement, perioperative management of complex congenital heart patients, as well as trainee education in the PICU.

Research

Dr. Martin's research interests include the nutrition for patients receiving support with non-invasive ventilation, early identification of sepsis/severe sepsis/septic shock with the assistance of a screening tool linked to PEWS scores and anticoagulation for patients receiving extracorporeal support.
