Biography

Professional Background

Michael Ashenafi is a Medical Physicist in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southern University in 2002. He received his MS degree in Medical and Health Physics from Louisiana State University in 2006. Prior to joining University of Rochester, he worked as Assistant Professor at Medical University of South Carolina for 12 years.

His research interests include:
• Practical clinical workflow for image-guided HDR Brachytherapy
• Image guided teletherapy and brachytherapy
