Dr. Horvath currently serves as the inpatient Psychologist in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at URMC. She earned a Doctorate and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the University of Delaware. Dr. Horvath completed her residency at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in East Orange, NJ, and at The Comprehensive Epilepsy Center at Mt. Sinai Hospital in NYC, with specialized training in neurological disorders, oncology, pain management, and medical psychology. Additionally, she received post-doctoral fellowship training in Geriatrics at the Abramson Center for Jewish Life in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Horvath’s clinical practice focus on facilitating coping in adults and their families facing new onset injury, serious illness, chronic medical conditions, and disability. Areas of expertise include cancer rehabilitation, pain management, brain injury and concussion, and caregiver coping. Dr. Horvath uses a practical, strengths-based approach which includes elements of CBT, trauma-informed therapies, mindfulness, and problem-solving strategies.

A Buffalo native, Dr. Horvath received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Biology from Canisius University.
